As I began this school year, it quickly became apparent to me that my students needed more practice with decodable reading. Many students are working on CVC patterns, blends, digraphs, v-e, and other phonetic patterns, but I do not have a lot of access to decodable books that would give them a lot more experience and practice. The phonics centers will be used to practice word recognition of the various patterns in a fun and hands-on way. These students have the drive to work hard, and will surely be able to use these materials to master the foundational skills of reading.
