The majority of my students are low income and do not even have the ability to study and grow their minds outside of the classroom. Our high school is still recovering from the affects of Hurricane Harvey and having trouble finding the budget to keep technology up to date. In addition, our high school holds two thousand students and only has three computer labs with about twenty five to thirty working computers per lab; this keeps a lot of students from learning technology on their own. With technology always evolving, if our students do not have access to laptops and other readily available technology at other schools, they will be at a higher disadvantage in college and in the job market.
