Communicating in my classroom looks a little different than your typical Pre-K room. Most of my students are considered to be "non-verbal," meaning they do not use traditional verbal speech to communicate. As their teacher, it is important to me that I provide them with the chance to speak, no matter the method. Every child, with or without a disability, deserves to have a voice. Since I teach in a low-income school, we do not have access to a color printer. Having a HP Officejet 3833 All-in-One color printer (with ink) will allow me to create vibrant resources that my students will use to communicate their feelings, wants, and needs. In turn, my students will be able to better connect with their peers and develop relationships with the people around them.
