Craft materials such as burlap, felt, raffia and wooden beads will help our student actors look like they belong in the African savanna. A CD player will help students practice their songs in small groups, making our rehearsals more productive. Face paint will turn our actors into Lions and Rafikis, and feathers will transform our performers into birds. Our show not only reaches the 3rd-5th graders in our cast, but the entire school community. We perform for the Kindergarten-2nd graders, 3rd-5th graders, and family/community across three different performances. Having good costumes gets our actors excited to perform and helps the audience identify our characters.
