These tablets will promote learner independence in my students, it will give students access to some of the supports that a teacher would provide. It will allow my students access to online learning tools to enhance their English learning at the comfort of their own. This will also provide students access to target culture in a way that will help them to develop context which will make learning the language more meaningful. There is also a learning tool online called FluentU which exposes students to many different kinds of English voices and topics. Students will have access to and use the interactive subtitles to see every word spoken in a clip before and during the video clip, and they have immediate access to the words’ definitions, usages and pronunciations as well.
