Having access to our own printer allows us to prepare individualized education plans, data sheets, progress reports, and parent communication quickly and efficiently—without waiting in line or competing for shared resources. This means more time focusing on instruction, collaboration, and direct student support.\r\n\r\nThe new printer has already improved our workflow and organization. It allows us to scan and share documents securely, print important materials on demand, and maintain accurate records for each student. Our team can now respond more promptly to parent requests, meeting deadlines with ease and confidence. What might seem like a simple piece of equipment has truly streamlined our ability to serve students with special needs.\r\n\r\nWe're so grateful for your kindness and belief in the importance of special education. They gently sway their bodies while staying focused on the lesson. Students worked hard to earn their turns at using the donuts at the front of the classroom. My two most active students appreciated the foot pedals that kept tapping sounds down while letting them keep the motion that they need to support their work process. Student distraction was greatly reduced thanks to these learning tools that support students' need to fidget and move their bodies. \r\nIt is so wonderful to show students that learning is not about rigidity but about finding a solution that fits individuals so that all may benefit together.","fullyFundedDate":1746538380493,"projectUrl":"project/boogie-down-bronx-students-have-movement/9307253/","projectTitle":"Boogie Down Bronx Students Have Movement in Their Souls","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. B","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9847309_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746496777896","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/beesexplore"},{"teacherId":9847309,"projectId":9070842,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting young learners with these materials. I have noticed students immediately tackling problems on the dry erase boards that they hesitate to attempt on paper. \r\nMy students are more cautious when using pencils and worksheets or workbooks as they perceive these as permanent representations of their abilities. However, dry erase boards have the instant appeal of being a temporary display of their struggles and solutions. \r\nStudents are also demonstrating an increase in risk taking, using trial and error in their strategy finding and calculations. \r\nI am happy that students who formerly would wait for their peers to volunteer their answers or give hints are now diving into productive struggle and getting the right answers.\r\nStudents have also shown increased interest in sharing their ideas verbally with the support of their dry erase boards which allow them to quickly review and revise steps in their work. \r\nI anticipate that the dry erase boards will continue to bolster student confidence and help them feel ready to show their work on paper and other materials.\r\nThank you again making a positive impact on these growing minds.","fullyFundedDate":1737492214991,"projectUrl":"project/the-sky-is-the-limit-help-students-rea/9070842/","projectTitle":"The Sky Is the Limit. We learned to take turns and sharing the gardening tools that you sent us. We enjoyed mixing the soil and the fertilizer that came with it. It was a learning experience for these students to write their names on the biodegradale pot as we planted our own seeds. Unfortunately, our classroom was way too hot during the holiday break from the heater and our seeds sprouted but they dried up eventually. It was really a learning experience and to see their sad faces was very moving. I taught them to never give up, that we fail sometimes but we learn from our failures. So this coming winter recess, I will have them take their little pot with seeds home to care for. The pathos plants are well taken cared of by my 5th graders. They have grown longer and we will propagate them this week and place them in the vase with water to grow their roots before planting them. I am truly thankful for your donations in making this project come true. My students are learning science, taking responsibilities and at the same time improving their sensory processing skills and fine motor skills.","fullyFundedDate":1731546586960,"projectUrl":"project/garden-for-sensory-and-fine-motor-skills/8925435/","projectTitle":"Garden for Sensory and Fine Motor Skills","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. R","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9818850_orig.jpg?crop=656,656,x39,y67&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1730992156373","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9818850"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_433","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":283,"numTeachers":36,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":25,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":70,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"7.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":62.5,"schoolId":433,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about PS 67 Mohegan School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"PS 67 Mohegan School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/ps-67-mohegan-school/433"}
