As a third grade teacher, I have the pleasure of guiding my students in the learning of respect and responsibility. To do this, It is necessary for me to take responsibility in promoting the successful lives of my scholars. Technology is a way of life in the world that we live in today. I am requesting help to provide my scholars with a ticket to success by furnishing Chromebooks to as many students as possible. As my class stands, a large percentage of them fall in the 25th percentile of reaching their expected goals. Unfortunately, we do not have enough available technology in our school to allow for exceptional skill acquisition. I am piloting a program for my school and the Arkansas Public School Resource Center which allows students to work on mastery of skills through technology programs. The Chromebooks and charging cart ensures that I can reach each and every child by focusing on their targeted deficiencies through use of programs. The program provides step-by-step instruction while engaging the student interest. Each and every child deserves an equal opportunity to not be left behind due to unavailable resources. Technology has brought us so far, I want to be a part of seeing where it takes us. I hope that the passion to challenge young minds empowers us to do all we can.
