I love to give my students colorful inspiration. In a world of black and white text and worksheets, I like to add a pop a color. My students work hard each and every day to meet the state standards. I like to reward them each month at our monthly awards ceremony. Color certificates are so much more exciting to 2nd graders than a black and white paper. My students like to practice phonics/spelling on the computer. One of the lessons we do is writing our words 3 times each in different colors. If they do this lesson on the computer they will be able to print in color. Another lesson is typing our words with red vowels and blue consonants.
