This year our students will be producing and staring in Aladdin, one of the Disney Musicals in School. There are many sound educational benefits to our musical production. Students are engaged in multiple activities in reading, memorizing, and understanding text. They are also practicing the listening and speaking standards appropriate for their grade level. With the addition of microphone equipment our students will experience the thrill of performing for larger audiences within our rural community and have a more authentic theatrical experience. Performing for the community in a school musical is a time honored tradition that may be the spark that ignites a passion for the arts and helps to guide them to a life long love of theater, music, and other culturally rich experiences.
