4 year olds have A LOT of energy! I am wanting to bring in flexible seating to my classroom to help improve their learning. There are several benefits we will receive from flexible seating in the classroom. One, by letting the students choose their seat when they come in the classroom in the morning will give them responsibility and ownership of their seat that day. Second, they will also have to follow the rules and make good choices in order to stay in their seat that day. By changing their seating arrangements, I hope to also encourage more learning. Flexible seating makes learning fun! I have chosen the following things to be used as seats in my classroom: exercise disks, wobble stools and stability balls. I hope that these will increase the "wanting to learn" mind set for my students. I believe when you are having fun you will learn more and want to learn. This is my hope for my project.
