My students' excitement for reading is a wonder to behold! Students come bolting into the library daily to share their progress with me and to get new books. When new books arrive, the excitement on their faces is priceless. I am especially excited about the "My First Graphic Novel" series that is a part of my project wish list. Some of my first graders who are reading fluently are bored with the typical first grade phonics type books. They spend lots of time, in the library, each day searching for something different and more challenging. They are always looking at the third and fourth grade graphic novels and wishing they were ready for them. These easier graphic novels are going to be a hit!
