Having fun and educational stations to engage all my students in learning is very important since many of my students may not have needed materials at home. The reading station will benefit from the CD player along with Audiobooks because many of my students have working parents who don't have the time to read to them. Having a variety of high interest books in different genres will help the students read/listen to different texts. The math station will benefit from having legos to help them learn fractions. Legos have the perfect platform to teach fractions, a whole which is broken into parts. They also will help when students learn to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions. The tech station will benefit from having the powered machines to build and explore STEAM activities. Students can work with a partner to collaboratively build a machine together and then use their machine as a writing prompt. Organizers will help students keep their folders at the stations organized. Having materials at hand will help the students keep the stations neat. The bins will keep each group's folders so they won't waste any time looking for their folders in their desks.
