These donations will allow me to continue with my theme of BIG this year in my gifted classes. We have looked at BIG Ideas to Success (class room management) and BIG Personalities (Large 3D Initials with symbols that represent us), and now we are learning about probability with the use of games, so these will not only help me teach probability and critical thinking but it will do it in an engaging and fun way-even more so than just playing other board games. Probability is a concept that allows students to realize that its not always just luck that allows us to win, that life can be fair! I hope that by introducing this concept with these large games, the idea is much clearer and remembered! Students will use this idea and concept of fairness and probability to study other games, learn about ratios and statistics, and finally to produce their own games that are fair. Thank you!
