I am a Head Start Teacher at a Title One school in Houston, Texas. I have the pleasure of teaching Pre-K students from income and at-risk families. Many of the children have not experienced a classroom setting, making and maintaining friendships and/or handling strong emotions. In my classroom, I work with children who have experienced trauma, are at-risk and/or may have difficulty handling their strong emotions. Even throughout all of this, they are still eager to learn and explore the world around them. Please help me to make their first year of learning a great experience and to establish a love for their education.
