The independent reading book storage that I am requesting will be utilized everyday in my first grade classroom. We place a strong focus on developing an authentic love for reading in all learners. The use of independent reading occurs daily in my classroom. As a result, my students need to have safe and durable storage for their books in order to help their books last longer. By choosing to donate to our project, you will help the youngest developing readers learn how to properly care for books while fostering a sense of ownership over their own learning! The Connect and Store book bins will allow each child to have their own individual storage for the books they read daily during independent reading workshop. The Sort and Store book totes will allow students to safely transport books from school to home on a daily basis in order to practice reading skills and strategies outside of school. Both book storage solutions are of high-quality and durability, and will last for years to come. Future students will reap the same benefits of individualized book storage and protection, helping develop a sense of independence as readers.
