Park Elementary is a Title 1 school where most of our students did not get the coaching and support they needed while at-home learning during COVID. As the school counselor I have seen greater occurrences of anxiety, lack of self-regulation, decreased academic stamina and most devastating of all, a lack of self efficacy. The materials I have selected serve to increase grit, focus, academic stamina, growth mindset, mindfulness, identifying and regulating emotions and increasing overall social emotional learning. I have chosen books, workbooks, and sensory objects to support my efforts.
