Help us start a garden at Stege! My project would provide a grasp on California life science standards, while teaching our students to be grateful for their hard labor, and establishing a safe space for them to learn in a creative way. This long-term project will establish a personal connection to the course materials, while allowing students to experience the content in a hands-on way. Not only will this garden serve as an important learning resource for my students, but provide a safe, calming space that students will be able to access when needed. This can help us manage and support the many social and emotional needs students may express at school. With your help, we can create a hands-on learning environment for our fourth grade students while building a community space from which all students can benefit. California Science Standards that would be met via this project: 4LS2.0 All organisms need energy and matter to live and grow. 4LS3.0 Living organisms depend on one another and on their environment for survival.
