The materials that we are requesting are to help assist in building our theater program. We have no actual theater and we run our shows out of our cafeteria. Our current lighting system is the florescent lights in the cafeteria. If this project is funded, this will provide us with enough lighting to put on quality productions. We focus on musicals and have two planned for this year, which means grand total of 4 performances, and several previews. As a theater program, our lack of lighting is our biggest downfall. We are self-funded program but with the vast expenses of theater and the lower socioeconomic status of our school, it makes having all of the tools we need a challenge to say the least!
