Our extracurricular drama program would not function without your support. Many of the items in this project qualify as \"technology\". Technology extends beyond just computers. We have a microphone system and a new set of lights as part of our project. New technology is always welcome in theater, especially since the minute you purchase something new, it becomes outdated. \r\nWe are probably the most excited about the lights. We have a new person running our lights and the lights we used for our fall show were borrowed. The new ones we are happy to call our own. \r\nWe are very excited to implement all of our new items. The items for this project were used for our fall musical, Emma! A Pop Musical. We were able to use everything to make our show happen. \r\nMy students were really excited to receive these items, especially the trays. They were used in a very specific musical number and being able to incorporate them into the song was an exciting moment for them. \r\nSome of the items will be able to be utilized for our spring show and other shows in the future. Because we are a self-funded theatre program at a charter school, any items we need have to be either purchased out of pocket or via donations from parents. Getting these things donated means less we have to pay out of pocket or that my parents have to donate. \r\n\r\nThe next steps will be working these items into our show and season for the upcoming school year.
