Earlier this year, many of my kids were tipping and falling out of chairs, walking around and chatting, and/or destroying the paper products nearest them. We have done a trial run with a few yoga balls and some standing desks and I have noticed a significant impact on student attention and a reduction in distracting behaviors. We established rules and rotate our four yoga balls through the whole class and even the kids who are not overly active are benefiting from their ball time. The balls, in particular, promote a centered posture that is beneficial. I will use the bean bags to set up a comfort corner. Some of my kiddos​ need a place to just "be" when things aren't going their way. This will also be accessible for partner reading and just chillin'.
