My students were so excited the moment they saw the new rainbow carpet, they immediately rushed to find \"their spots\" for read-alouds and discussions. Now, we gather there daily for stories, community-building time, and shared learning moments. It's quickly become everyone's favorite place in the room!\r\n\r\nThe new desk chair has also made a huge difference during small-group instruction. As a Reading Intervention teacher, I spend a lot of time working closely with students at our kidney table. Having a comfortable, supportive chair allows me to focus fully on my students' needs and provide more effective, individualized support.\r\n\r\nThe Mr. Sketch markers have brought our anchor charts to life; the bright colors (and fun scents!) capture students' attention and make key strategies easy to revisit. Whether it's cozy winter tales that inspire self-reflection, spring stories that celebrate growth and renewal, or fall books that explore gratitude and change, students have found meaningful connections in every page.\r\n\r\nI intentionally selected a diverse range of books to ensure that every student could see themselves represented and valued. At this developmental stage, students are still learning to identify, express, and manage their feelings appropriately. When overwhelmed by frustration, anxiety, or sadness, having a designated area to take a break and use calming strategies can prevent emotional outbursts and support better behavior in the classroom. It empowers students with the opportunity to make choices about their emotional well-being and helps reduce disciplinary interventions by promoting self-awareness and self-soothing.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw my new calm corner supplies they were so excited for new things to help them calm.
