The current Guidance Resource Room is a blank canvas bursting with potential. As the Guidance Counselor, I would like to cultivate a space for group and individual counseling, academic lessons, community service initiatives, student workshops, and function as a calm remediation room. The new space and materials will give our scholars a safe place to sort out their academic, social and emotional futures. Our Ultimate Guidance Resource Room is in need of the following items: Small Sofa- The sofa will be used for individual guidance, peer mediation, student academic conferencing and as a study space for the students. Medium size area rug- The area rug will be used as a platform for restorative circles which are social/emotional conversation circles. Armchair- The armchair will be used by students for studying and time away from the group. Classroom decor- The classroom decor will be used to enhance the environment and climate.
