Learning is different for every student; this is especially true when working with students with special needs such as ASD. For these special students, working on a device really helps grasp and keep their attention. My goal is to bring more meaningful work to my class by using technology. Since some of my students come from low-income homes, which means that some of them don’t have access to computers or Wi-Fi at home, these laptops will help bridge the gap of opportunities. The items in this project will allow students to be more successful by providing critical digital practice and adaptive learning programs, and improve their reading and math skills using different online programs provided at school. Right now we only have two computers in the classroom and these additional two laptops will give students more opportunities to use the technology during school time. Technology plays such an important role in student's learning, not just by the teachers, but also by the District-required program.
