The focus of my project is English learners, who make up three-fourths of my class population. TIME for Kids magazine, books, vocabulary journals, and English Learners game library are great learning tools. These tools allow my students to improve their language arts skills and help them to overcome the language barrier that holds them back. Research has shown that more exposure to language gives learners more opportunities to learn. The theory of multiple intelligence talks about learners many styles of learning; therefore, I chose resources that accommodate different learning styles of my students. Accessing such resources provides a great opportunity for my students to achieve higher academic goals. Writing is an important part of many core contents at school; for example, Students are more successful in science if they know the academic language and are able to write short essays. These tools will facilitate their learning and improves their academic skills.
