Students will attend a professional production of the play "A Christmas Carol" at the Alliance Theatre, after reading the play in class. Students will get the chance to dress professionally and appropriately, will learn about proper theatre behavior, and watch professional actors perform. "A Christmas Carol" presents students with the opportunity to examine how people can change for the better, as they see how Scrooge is able to change throughout the play. This is a field trip that will connect students directly to what we are learning in the classroom, while also allowing them the chance to experience the world outside of their own community.

About my class
