It is important for students to be engaged with the lessons to improve their understanding. I try to use as many actions, songs, and visuals to help the many different learning styles in my classroom. Flocabulary is a highly engaging website that will help my students learn and retain new concepts in multiple subject areas. I have tried using Flocabulary for a trial period in my classroom and the students LOVED it. They really enjoyed listening to the videos and signing along with the different songs. The videos and songs made learning new topics fun and enjoyable for all of the students.
