My kindergarten classroom is based on small group instruction. Most of our learning requires small groups of 5 students and one teacher. Currently we only have one table for 2 teachers. I am looking to have a second table so we can accommodate more small groups. Having another table allows my students the opportunity to have rich, rigorous academic discussions about a variety of subjects. Due to my class being over 80% English language learners, this will provide them the opportunity to practice collaborating with their peers and improve their English skills.
