It's difficult to keep student-athletes involved in a sport that a player fails more than six times out of ten. Baseball is a dying sport with the youth due to just that. There is no reset button or pause button in the game of baseball. When you throw in those odds, getting student-athletes to join a team is hard, but throw in the fact that they have to buy their own cleats, gloves, and equipment, it's becoming to be a dying sport. The donations we receive will be used for field equipment (such as the drags, rakes, rollers, and tamps) so that student-athletes would not have to pay for safety equipment, or equipment needed to play the number of resilient athletes may increase. If we receive funding for the field equipment, it will allow us to purchase the needed equipment for the athletes to be successful. Any improvements or resources that this team receives increases the attitude on the field which translates into the classroom, community, and home.
