I am requesting a carpet for my classroom. This number carpet will help my students meet their common core standard of counting from any number up to 120. It will also help them with number recognition and give them a clean place to sit at carpet time. This will also be used as a math center to help them count and use addition and subtraction by using the number chart as a guide. The possibilities are endless with this new carpet in our classroom. It will help encourage number sense and give my students a sense of pride. My kinesthic and visual learners will also benefit from this carpet.
