These books will build a high-interest classroom library that is written at just the right level for my 7th and 8th graders! By reading books at their level, and reading books that increase in complexity, they will grow as readers and continue to make gains that will enable them to succeed in other classrooms and as they go to high school next year! My classroom is a comfortable environment complete with couches, lamps, gaming chairs, and books everywhere!! Kids come to class and get right to reading. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind! My kids are fascinated with mythology and the graphic novels include pictures that aid their comprehension of the text! There are also a number of series included! I have a few series at school just like these (Bones and Amulet) and the wait lists are long so that kids can get their hands on series and continue to read and read and read some more! Once a kid gets their hands on a good series, they are engaged for weeks at a time! For this reason, I believe these books will keep my kids engaged and excited about reading for a long time to come!
