Watching eggs transform into fish is an opportunity most students never get to watch. The Aqueon Aquarium will provide my students with that opportunity. Once the eggs arrive, students will be responsible for monitoring the water temperature using the Active Aqua Chiller, foam insulation, and AODE water probe to make sure our eggs have the consistent cold water that they need to mature before our eyes. The Penn Plex underground filter and AquaClear powerhead will keep the water moving and clean as if the eggs were still in the river, giving them the best chance of survival. In addition to watching the eggs change into fry, students will learn about our environmental impact on salmon and the impact salmon have on our community. Once the Salmon have matured into fry, students will release them back into the wild so they can continue their journey through life.
