We need your help to get more seating options in our art room. I have 570 students that come through my art room. They all have their own unique needs to help them focus and learn. Currently, we have stationary stools and floor cushions that are thin and falling apart. "I just need to move to focus on my project" said a 4th grade student. We need funding for better and more comfortable floor cushions and for wobble stools. Students all learn in different ways, and I need options that will meet the needs of all students. Some students learn best when sitting on the floor. I have a low table, and there are many students who enjoy sitting on the floor and can focus better on their artwork. We need 8 floor cushions for our low table that will replace our thin floor cushions that are falling apart. The floor cushions I am asking for are better quality, and give students the ability to wiggle a bit when they are working. Many of my students need to be able to move to focus and learn better. Every day, I see students learning or trying to move in our stationary stools. This is dangerous because sometime the stools flip over and cause the student to fall. These students that need to move would benefit from a wobble stool that lets them wiggle while in their seats. It helps students be safe, and helps them get their wiggles out to focus on creating in art. Having better floor cushions and wobble stools would give students more options in the art room, to better meet the needs of all students to help them focus and learn in art.
