My students are interested in other people's cultures and traditions. We typically go to the library to get literature about this subject but there is definitely something to be said about being able to access people, places, and things. Personally, I have colleagues who work abroad outside the U.S. and they are willing and able to connect with us through the internet. Having a few chromebooks and a wireless connection, (which our school already provides) at their finger tips will definitely be a game changer. My students will be able to expand their learning about others cultures and traditions. Not only that, but students who require a different learning module will also be benefiting from this technology. Learning should not be confined inside the four walls of the classroom with just the traditional pen and paper. My students are interested in learning about other people's cultures and traditions. Providing them with the right tools is just the beginning of a life changing experience. They will have the opportunity to connect with other students in other parts of the world to learn more about other's culture that way!
