My students need a comfy and effective learning environment. Currently, we are crammed working in groups at two trapezoid tables. For five to six 4th graders at a time, this simply does not work! We need a kidney table to comfortably work in small groups during reading, writing, and math. It is so important to pair academic learning with social emotional learning. We strive to do this through morning meetings and restorative practice circles. It is difficult to get my 4th graders engaged in these circles while they are uncomfortable on a hard tile floor. In order to bring engagement back to our meeting space, we need a carpet! Please help us become comfortable and engaged in our classroom!
