Books have an important place in my heart and with a large, diverse library, I hope to inspire my students to learn to enjoy reading and find books they crave to read! I do my best to provide a variety of books that appeal to different readers, and I discuss with my students the importance of reading and the importance of taking care of their classroom library to that books they all enjoy can last for others to read as well. In a time of distance learning, I plan on using these books to create read alouds and online resources to help connect students to these diverse books. The option to have variety in reading helps to engage students with finding a book that interests them and helps them enjoy reading. Through my classroom library, I want my students to have the option to pick and read a book that they connect with. These new books will help me in creating a classroom library that shows different cultures to my students.
