After moving from Northern Californa to Washington State, I had to leave many of my special books and supplies behind. I couldn't be more excited about this project because it gives me the opportunity to support my new students and the school community as a whole. As a teacher, I work hard to create an environment where students feel valued and know that they matter. From new colored pencils to engaging, high-quality books students will know that they are in a high functioning classroom. We are also in need of some basic supplies, which will enable us to maximize our learning time. This year, I will am teaching a College and Career class geared toward supporting 6th graders in setting goals and planning for their futures. The College Fiske Guide, as well as the inspirational books, will be used to help students maximize their potentials. The Readers theater books and struggling reader support guides will also aid me in helping struggling readers with reading fluency and comprehension.
