I envision engineering challenges where students have to work in small groups to create a solution to a given problem. Students will work through the design process including imagining/designing the solution, building, testing and improving their design. The supplies will allow students to create unique solutions and get excited about their work. During the challenges, students will be working on problem solving skills, communicating their ideas clearing and teamwork. Most importantly, the students will learn that not getting the solution on their first try is ok! Failure is just learning what doesn't work.
