Many students in my class that have trouble academically thrive when they are given academic related games on the computer. Students cannot currently get what they deserve out of educational computer programs simply because they cannot hear. Because of the large number of students in my class, headphones during computer time are vital. Currently we do not have enough headphones for all students, which means about half the class must do their computer intervention time without sound. The lack of sound becomes difficult, especially for 5 year olds, because they cannot yet fully read and need the auditory directions to be successful.
