A resource room is exactly that, a room where there is an abundance of resources. We have many to choose from in order to teach students strategies and the easiest way to learn a skill. What we don't have much of, are books. While we have picture books that are wonderful, we don't have books for those readers that want to read something with a little more detail. The Jennifer Serravallo Go-To Books that I have chosen have books that are fiction and non-fiction and that are about topics that the students enjoy or have experience with. A lot of the students that are serviced, don't have books of their own, so having a little library in the resource room would be perfect in order to foster independent reading time.
