I use Daily Fives in first grade and part of this is learning on technology that kids will use and enjoy. We use Reading A-Z at Whitman and unfortunately, many of the students can not or will not have access to this at home. These types of learning sites work well in supporting their reading. I want to make sure independent reading is accessible for my first grade learners and through Reading A-Z, I can also use the data provided through the comprehension quizzes to curtail my guided reading lessons so they can be better suited to each students learning needs. By providing these tablets, I will be able to better close the learning gap these children have.
