As educational trends continue to change and develop, keeping up with technology proves to be a challenge, considering the expense and the lack of funds. Our school is a No Excuses University school. We teach our students that there are no excuses or deterrents limiting them from going to college or having a successful career. Just the same, we will not let lack of funding deter us from achieving the highest quality of education in technology. We need more access to technology (Chromebooks/laptops) so that my students can access their daily online curriculum in all subject areas. If we had daily access, my students would benefit greatly because they would have more opportunities to collaborate and create computer based projects and tasks. Having Chromebooks would allow our classroom to access several different apps, such as Google Classroom, Office 365, among other curriculum based websites. We will also use these Chromebooks during our small group instruction and they can engage in interactive lessons from their math and ELA curriculum. The Chromebooks will enhance students' computer skills, and motivate them to learn. Ideally, it would be nice to have these devices so that my students can complete any task, project, or activity in creative and fun ways.
