The Amazon Fire Tablets in a technology station will provide my newcomer students with the opportunity to express their thinking and knowledge in many different modalities. ELL students often struggle to express what they know in writing or out loud in front of the class. They often feel more comfortable and confident expressing their thinking on digital platforms where they can rehearse presentations and check their spelling. These six devices will make a difference in our classroom, allowing English learners to use different platforms such as Seesaw or Google classroom to post videos, pictures, voice comments and writing that will help them express what they know and help me assess their understanding of academic content as well as their English language development.
