"The Hate U Give" is a book that my resistant readers ASK to read! I believe that desire could change their lives if they had the opportunity to read this book. I so strongly believe in my students I am refusing to let a financial burden stop me from getting these books. What if my students read this book and get inspired to read other books. What if my students get to practice their reading (and writing) skills using this book. What if while practicing their reading and writing skills they master the state test. That might seem like a small success to many, but to my students, it would be monumental. What if you were part of that success!
