Students utilize Chromebooks almost daily for various educational centers completed in class. One specific center used in class for ESL (English as a Second Language) is Duolingo. Duolingo is an educational website where students can practice listening for understanding, reading, and writing the English language. The use of headphones allows students to block out background noise and focus and concentrate on assignments. In my classroom of 25+ students it can sometimes get loud, add in two teachers- who teach two different subjects in the same classroom. It can get loud! Individual headphones will allow students to block out some of this noise.
