This lesson allows students to transform bacteria into glow in the dark bacteria. It will allow me to teach them numerous lab techniques and prepare them for the AP Biology test. This lab is an absolute blast! The intent of this curriculum is to guide students through the thought process involved in a laboratory-based scientific procedure. The focus here is not so much on the answer or result, but rather on how the result was obtained and how it can be substantiated by careful observation and analysis of data. This is referred to as a guided inquiry-based laboratory investigation.
