Nonfiction text is an area where most students tend to struggle in their reading and comprehension. They get the "boring" articles about machines or about people in life. Students tend to cringe whenever this has to be read. I remember reading "Bad Boy" when I was in school and I fell in love with the book. This nonfiction story will keep my students engaged and have them learning important life lessons. I have 6th graders and as they mature and go on in life they need to learn that there will be hard times. However, no matter where they come from or what has happened in the past, they can achieve and do anything great. Please help my students engage in nonfiction text and realize that all reading can be enjoyable. Thanks so much!
