I find that the needs of advanced students are often overlooked in the classroom. The Life of Fred books present mathematical concepts in a fun way with story-like structure. These books provide math enrichment which integrates real-life examples as well as an entertaining story about the life of Fred. This format challenges students to apply mathematical concepts to real-life situations. These books will provide independent learning activities to enrich math learning for my students, as well encouraging students to dig deeper into mathematical concepts. So much class time is dedicated to helping struggling students that advanced students are often overlooked. I would like to give advanced students more opportunities to deelply explore ideas and concepts.
