This year is my 11 year in education.! For many of my students, this is their first year attending a school in the United States My students come from a variety of economic and cultural backgrounds. Most of my students receive free lunch. And come from low income homes. My amazing school is a school that's very culturally and ethnically diverse school and out kiddos students speak a multitude of languages and their learning styles are as diverse as their cultural backgrounds! It's a fact that in today's world kids are all about technology! If they had to choose between reading a hard copy of a book or an online book, they would choose to read using technology! These kiddos are very active learners, and with the help of the iPads they will be able access their materials at a touch of a button, have an up to date dictionary and thesaurus as well as a translator to help them with their communication skills.
