Junior Achievement will introduce the topic of Our Community to students about the intersection of work readiness. The program will also focus on social studies learning objectives, including how citizens benefit from and contribute to a community’s success. To build background knowledge in the areas of banking, money and community, we need books like The Penny Pot, A Dollar, a Penny, How Much is Much and Community Helper Guessing Book. To build independence and reinforce knowledge, students will engage in learning centers with the help of materials such as Money Match Me Cards, Learning Resources Play and The Learning Journey Kids Bank, Play Money Set. Teaching tools such as Learning Resources Money and Play Coins and Checks will help students apply newly acquired skills to real world experiences. Lastly, since our building is over 100 years old space is extremely limited. The storage bin, 12 Drawer Utility Cart will house all the materials and allow students to be responsible and organized. Any donation will be greatly appreciated!
