Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and feel like they are in control. During independent work times they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. When students are more comfortable they are more motivated to read for a longer time and to stay engaged. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The comfy floor seats allow the students to sit in a cushioned space while folding flat for easy storage in our classroom. The wobble cushions allow students to move around a bit while still sitting in their spot which can help more energetic students to stay focused. The balance ball seats allow students to move and balance while reading so that they can also stay focused on the task at hand and will reduce the restlessness that they feel. I have seen how flexible seating options can motivate students to keep reading for longer blocks of time which means they will grow their brains even faster. I can't wait to instill the love of reading into each and every one of them!
